About Us

Laudi Vidni is a Chicago-based, women-owned brand redefining what luxury means. Our name—“individual” spelled backward—is a reminder that true style starts with you. Every Laudi Vidni bag is made-to-order, not mass-produced, so you never have to settle for “almost right.”

We believe in slow fashion, intentional design, and pieces that last. Every bag we create is crafted for the individual who knows what she wants and values how things are made.

Where Our Bags Are Made

Our bags are brought to life by skilled artisans in Chicago and the Dominican Republic—many of whom have spent generations perfecting their craft. Every cut, stitch, and polish is done with precision and pride.

We partner only with environmentally responsible tanneries and source OEKO-TEX® certified organic cotton linings and low-lead hardware. From the inside out, our materials are chosen for quality, beauty, and conscience.

Why We Are Made To Order

Fast fashion may be easy, but it isn’t lasting. By crafting each bag only after it’s ordered, we eliminate waste and make sure every piece is purposeful. No overstock, no landfill, no compromise—just beautiful, intentional design that stands the test of time.

Every Laudi Vidni bag is proof that sustainability and luxury can coexist—and that confidence looks best when it’s authentically yours.

How It All Started

Laudi Vidni was founded in 2009 by friends and Harvard Business School classmates Laura Kofoid and Grace Tsao-Wu. After years in retail and fashion, they realized they were both tired of settling for bags that were never quite right.

They saw an opportunity to turn the model of luxury on its head—rejecting its snobbery, waste, and sameness—to create something more inclusive, intentional, and empowering.

Laudi Vidni was born from that vision: a brand built for those who know their worth, express their individuality, and choose quality over conformity.
