Who are you?
I'm figuring that out every day. I sing, I perform, and I'm always trying to discover new ways to express my creativity.
Was there a moment you realized you were you?
I can't recall a distinct moment, but I definitely started realizing pretty early on who I was. I forget who we were studying, but I remember having a philosophy professor talk about how people figure out who they are by figuring out what they are not. I knew at a very young age that I was not like a lot of my peers, which when I was a kid, was a bit isolating at times. It took me slightly longer to realize that there was power in that, and that it wasn't something to be ashamed of.
What is a fault you enjoy about yourself?
I have the tendency to shut myself in. People will be trying to get me to go out and do things and I'll just want to be at home by myself watching my shows. I feel like it can sometimes give people the wrong impression; I just enjoy my alone time!
How would you describe your personal style?
My style changes every day. I just go with whatever speaks to me. I guess I'd describe it as colorful, eclectic, and whimsical.
Have you always been you or did you grow into yourself?
For better or for worse I've always been myself. Even when it didn't benefit me.
