Who are you?
I am Brandon Dorsey, also known as the artist/dancer Brand1. Chicago is my home and Circle Theory and GOOD DOODS are the collectives I ride with. Much love to everyone!

Was there a moment when you realized you were you?
I'm still realizing who I am I'd say! That being said, every time I take the opportunity to do something I WANT to do, artistically and/or what not, I tend to feel myself more than any other moments.

What does it mean to be one of a kind?
I was always told growing up as an artist, specifically while dancing, the importance of being honest to yourself in your art forms. That translated to me, especially growing up in the street dance culture, where “biting”, or copying another dancer's moves/style, was a big no. You have to be original. You have to be you.

How would you describe your personal style?
The way I dress is inspired by my dancing and dance culture really. I thrift a lot, as I have the majority of my life, as well as consistently buy clothing/gear from my homies around the world that are producing brands/companies. I'm a big supporter of supporting people, so that plays a role into my wardrobe. I've always dug patterns as much as I've dug simplicity in color, so that translates as well. That being said, I do enjoy a good dress up, suit and tie ish, every once in a while.
